Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Zynocode Labs, our zero-upload browser architecture, commercial usage rights, and developer APIs.

Are my files uploaded to your servers?
For almost every tool on Zynocode Labs, no. PDF operations, image compression, text sanitization, JSON formatting, and calculators execute 100% inside your browser memory using WebAssembly, Web Crypto, and HTML5 Canvas. Your documents, images, and sensitive strings never leave your device. The exception is external network downloaders (such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok media fetchers) which send the destination URL you paste to our serverless edge worker to retrieve the public media stream.
Can I use the generated files and outputs for commercial work?
Yes. Any files you process, modify, format, or generate using Zynocode Labs belong entirely to you. You are free to use them in commercial client projects, SaaS products, publications, and marketing materials without attribution or licensing fees.
Is Zynocode Labs really free to use?
Yes. During our public beta, every one of our 76 browser tools and all developer workspace features are completely free for everyone with no credit card required. You can use tools anonymously without creating an account, or sign up to save execution histories and projects.
Will the client-side browser tools stay free?
Yes. All in-browser tools will remain permanently free for standard usage. If paid tiers are introduced in the future, they will apply only to high-volume automated REST API executions, large team workspaces, and cloud batch processing. Free client-side tools will never be paywalled.
How does Zynocode Labs verify client-side privacy?
You can verify our zero-upload architecture yourself using standard browser Developer Tools. Open the Network tab, run any PDF compression, image resize, or hashing tool, and observe that zero network requests containing file payloads are dispatched. You can also review our open-source repositories and Security Architecture page.
Which web browsers and operating systems are supported?
Zynocode Labs works across all modern standards-compliant desktop and mobile browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Chromium-based browsers on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS. We also support Progressive Web App (PWA) installation for offline access.
Can developers integrate Zynocode Labs tools programmatically?
Yes. We provide an official TypeScript SDK (@zynocode/sdk on npm), a command-line interface (zynocode on npm), a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Claude Desktop and Cursor, and an authenticated REST API (POST /api/v2/tools/:slug/execute) with Bearer token authentication.
How do I report an issue or suggest a new tool?
You can submit tool suggestions directly through our Request a Tool page (/request-tool) or email our engineering team at [email protected]. We prioritize community requests based on utility and privacy value.
