Why Does SSC Prohibit Uploading Pre-Existing Photos?

Under SSC CGL Notice Clause 9.3 and 9.4, candidates are not permitted to upload pre-existing passport photos.

The application module captures candidate photos live before the camera. Taking a snapshot of a printed photograph through the camera is strictly prohibited and causes summary rejection of the application under Clause 9.4.

What Are the Common Reasons for SSC Signature Rejection?

SSC signature uploads are commonly rejected due to: - File Size Below 10 KB or Above 20 KB: Files outside the 10–20 KB boundary fail portal validation. - Illegible or Miniature Scans: Low-resolution or poorly cropped signatures that cannot be clearly verified. - Shadowed or Colored Paper: Capturing signatures under poor indoor lighting creates grayish backgrounds that reduce scanning contrast.
